The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority is a non-hub passenger and international air cargo airport. Along with its staff of 39 individuals the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority serves more than half a million passengers annually. Unlike other Airports, passengers do not have to wait for hours to get a boarding pass or clear passenger screening. Its 279,000-square-foot facility operates under a growing number of airlines serve Toledo Express with service to destinations including Atlanta , Orlando Sanford, Chicago O'Hare, Cincinnati , Detroit Metro and Cleveland . In addition the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority provides cargo facilities for ships using the Port of Toledo at the mouth of the Maumee River , which has been recognized as one of the Great Lakes ' most diversified international cargo facilities.
The Toledo Express Airport currently has two runways. Runway 7/25 is 10600 x 150 ft. / 3231 x 46 m with a single weight bearing capacity on a single wheel of 100000 lbs. and 174000 lbs. on a double wheel.
